We have a caring family environment at North Shore where you will experience the love of Jesus.
Dress casually or wear a coat and tie...it's up to you. We want you to feel welcome and comfortable as we gather to glorify God.
Each Sunday morning Worship Service is a dynamic time where you will experience contemporary, uplifting music, Biblical, inspirational preaching and teaching, along with a warm and loving atmosphere that honors God and makes everyone feel right at home!
At North Shore, we major on the majors, and minor on the minors, just like Jesus did. Come and experience what loving God and loving people really looks and feels like!
Our church is a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance
What do we believe?
What we believe motivates and inspires us every day. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, God incarnate. Because lost people matter to God, He came in human form to sacrifice Himself, once for all, that we might not perish but have eternal life. This the the foundation of our belief structure the spiritual DNA of The Alliance. Our family tree bears the fruit of the Deeper Life, Fourfold Gospel, and the "living out" of Alliance Core Valuesall fueling our uncomprimising call to "go!" wherever and whenever God leads.
The Fourfold Gospel.
Alliance founder Dr. A. B. Simpson articulated the core theology of The Alliance. As we seek to know Jesus personally, being one with Him, He will reveal Himself as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. Simpson called this theology the Fourfold Gospel, the Christological summary on which the spiritual DNA of The Christian and Missionary Alliance is built..
The Great Commission.
Jesus last words before His glorious ascension into Heaven were given as a commission to His disciples. This Great Commission remains a command, a mandate to every believer in Jesus Christ. His Great Commission is the Call of The Christian and Missionary Alliance..
Our Core Values.
What we believe determines what we value, and what we value demonstrates how we live. The Alliance has developed seven Core Values that flow out of our passion for Jesus. These Core Values are the motivation behind the mission..
Statement of Faith.
What The Alliance believes is foundational in its teachings about God and how He relates to us and how we relate to Him. Based on His written Word, the Bible, we are compelled to serve God and the people of His world. We live and die by these words, and believe they bring the only life worth living one wholly committed to the King Jesus..

A Life Group is simply a group of people, from the same stage of life, doing life together. At North Shore we believe that fellowship with other believers is vital to a healthy growing relationship with Christ.
A successful Life Group produces people who are growing in three vital relationships: intimacy with God, community with fellow believers and influence with those around us.

NSAC AW Directors
A message from the National Director;
Throughout history women have found that connecting with other women has been a huge support and encouragement in their lives. Women do need women!
Alliance Women Ministries (AWM) can offer that and so much more. Spiritual friendships can be formed in the many settings found in our ministries. Getting together one on one over coffee, studying the Bible together, enjoying a girl's night out or attending a retreat are just some of the opportunities that are a part of Alliance Women Ministries.
But more than that, Alliance Women Ministries offers women the chance to serve others and to make a difference in our world. Through efforts to both reach out to our own communities and partner with The Christian and Missionary Alliance international workers around the world, a woman who is part of AWM finds that she can be used of God to bless others.
The desire of AWM is that each woman will become a Great Commission woman: a person who knows Jesus personally, who reaches out to others with God's love, who has committed spiritual relationships within the body of Christ, who studies the Word of God and applies the lessons to her life, who knows how to pray fervently, and who has a world wide perspective and involvement with the nations.

Acts 6:2-4
So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.

Open Letter to North Shore Church
by Lisa Workman Bradley on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 10:48pm
Thank God I (Lisa) wasn't called on to say something tonight because I was a hot mess..LOL But here are some thoughts that I HAVE to share with my North Shore Family.
How do you say goodbye to a group of people who saved your life? How do you say thank you for that? Shawn and I walked into this church lost. We weren't totally at bottom, but we were lost and had no clue just how lost we were!
Many of you were here 10 years ago and helped Jesus to save us.
You helped him to save us, transform us, and disciple us. You helped him to mold us into missionaries! I'm not sure a church could receive a greater compliment than that. You took lost people and helped the Lord transform them into missionaries!
You did this by loving us, teaching us, praying for us. You cared for our children even when they were sometimes hard to love. LOL You cared for us even when WE were sometimes hard to love!
We may be moving away from North Shore's physical location, but North Shore will always be in our hearts. We take with us everything you've taught us. Our hearts overflow with the love you've given and continue to give us. Our mission begins with your prayers and support surrounding us.
We will forever be thankful for those of you who were here 10 years ago and who have come since to walk with Jesus with us.
A word to those who are just beginning their walk with Jesus. Give it all up. Give it all away. There is no freer feeling in the world than letting Him have your life and direct your steps. Love Him with your whole heart and that love will show through to the others around you. I promise if you do what He commands, His love will show!
If you obey and love him with your whole heart, who knows? Someday you might be one of those crazy people taking off to unknown lands to spead His word! I pray you are, because His love is totally worth it!
We love you North Shore Family and you will always be our home.
Love,
The Bradley Family

When I went to Guatemala last summer, I wasnt expecting to get REALLY attached to any of the people we met because we were supposed to be working most of the time. Of course, God had different plans and didnt have the team do any physical work. God wanted us to build relationships that week. Above is a picture of Gabby. She had no idea who I was and simply walked up to me and gave me the biggest hug, like she had known me her whole life. You see happiness in her eyes. Even though she doesnt have a huge house or nice clothes, she is happy. She knows that God loves her and that nothing else matters. At this point in time I don't have any money raised. A large portion of the start-up costs is the Discipleship Training School in Jacksonville, FL. It costs a little over $3,000 for the three month training. There I will be studying God's word and participating in local outreaches along with other people attending the school. Thank you for all of your prayerfull support! It is a key part in having a successful ministry in Guatemala.

Well, I have been in country for about 2 months now. It started out a bit rough with my bag containing my laser printer not coming through at the airport. But, Praise God, it did eventually get delivered and the printer was in working order. I have put it to good use as Ive gone through over 2,000 sheets of paper. The majority of what Ive printed is discipleship materials that will be assisting people disciple others.
There has been a lot of painting going on at the Kaimosi campus. The dining hall and the 3 classrooms are finished. There is even a mural of Jesus giving the Great Commission on the wall of our dining hall now! That painting is thanks to a talented guest from YWAM who volunteered his skills. Thanks must be given to other members of the YWAM
A Good Start Support team as well as other staff and students who made this painting project possible. I have left Kaimosi as of now and am on my way to Nairobi tomorrow morning. From there I will be traveling to Tanzania where I will begin my language school. The language school will last until the beginning of December. Please pray for God to give me the grace to pick up the language of Swahili so that I can make a greater impact in Kenya for the Kingdom of God.
Thanks to all who have supported me and to those that have donated to the Kaimosi Scholarship fund. I am very grateful for your prayers and financial support.
Please continue to pray for Kaimosi as we are seeking God for His will to be done at this place.

Well, its happening again - a new year is beginning and a new school year for the Guatemalan children. We are glad to help many of the children to go to the Christian school above the Tracks, so they can learn what the Guatemalan government requires, but also they can learn more about our Lord that loves them.
Were glad too that we can help some of the older kids continue after what is the equivalent of ninth grade. These older kids go to private schools to learn a profession or trade.
Schooling in Guatemala is not free, and even in the government schools the children have to pay for tuition and uniforms and school books. The private schools are more expensive, and the Christian school above the Tracks costs $30/month for a child to attendwhich is more than many of the parents along the Tracks can pay.
Thats why sponsorship for the children is so important. Our goal is to see these children grow in the Lord and break the chain of poverty by getting a good education and ultimately a good job. We are dedicated to see that happen!
Damaris and I would ask for your prayers as we continue helping the children go to school; helping them with uniforms, school books, and tuition. We would also ask you to pray for the project of building an addition onto the Christian school so there will be more space and more classrooms for the 325 children that are now crowded into the present building.
2012 will be a great year of working together along the Tracks!

GO TEAM!
Hey North Shore!
This Sunday, is our annual meeting ~ a time to reflect on what the Lord has done over the past year, and also look forward, with new direction, new budget, etc. As the family of God here at North Shore, we are, in many respects, a team. I've always been a sports guy, so the idea of team is very easy for me to relate to, but if you've never really been into sports, maybe it's a little different for you. A football team is a great example to use in relation to the body of Christ, because you have many different people doing many different things, but all on the same team, going for the same goal. You have people who are on offense, people who are on defense, people who kick, throw, receive, run, tackle, block, and so on . . . but everyone understands, hopefully, that everything each individual does is for the sole purpose of the team winning. Being on the same team doesn't mean you have to agree on everything, but it does mean that you trust each other, respect each other, and love each other. It's actually good to have different opinions on things, to get different ideas and perpectives, but when the 'play' is called, we all come together to reach the goal. When we don't come together, it not only hurts individuals, it hurts the whole team. I remember coaching high school soccer one year, and during the game the ball was passed in the middle of two of our players who had an opportunity to score. They both went for it, neither wanting to defer for the good of the team, and they ended up running into each other and the other team stole the ball on what would've been an easy score. Then, to make matters worse, they began arguing over who should've taken the pass and even got into shoving each other . . . while the game was going on! I took both of them out immediately and reminded them that they are on the same team, and how bad it looked to the other team and to the crowd watching the game, to have 2 players from the same team fighting amongst themselves. May we as a church understand how vital it is to always keep in the forefront of our minds that we are on the same team, going in the same direction, for the same goal. Being on the same team does not mean we will agree on everything, but it does mean we will love each other no matter what. May we have the mind of Christ, who sacrificed what He wanted, for what His Father wanted. Go, North Shore team!

LOOKING FOR THE 'RIGHT' WAVE
Did you all know that Pastor Jeff has surfed at the most famous surfing spot in the world, the North Shore in Hawaii?! Awesome, dude! He then told me that he received many all-expense paid trips to the island . . . courtesy of the United States military! Ok, that explains a lot, however, it was fun to reminisce with another former surfer. When I moved to Port St. Lucie with my family in 2001, the first thing we did was get a surf board and hit the beach because we were only 10 minutes away. Though it's been awhile for both of us ~ my board hangs on our living room wall as 'art' ~ one of the first things you learn when you start surfing is looking for the right wave. There are lots of waves, but you're always looking for the 'right' wave ~ one that is big enough, set up for where you are in the water, and is going to break at just the right time. Galatians 5:22 tells us, "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit", which literally means 'keep in step with' the Spirit. If Paul were writing this to us in 2012 Southwest Florida, I believe he would put it this way: "If we have been made alive by the Spirit, we should keep in step with Him each day" (PT Version). Remember that most of the time when you see the word 'walk' in the Bible, it refers to daily living. And here's where a little surfing knowledge comes in handy: there are a lot of 'good' things I can do, but 'keeping in step with the Spirit' means that I am constantly looking for the things that Jesus wants me to do. Just like the patience it takes to wait for that 'right' wave, it takes patience and the Holy Spirit's guidance to do what He wants, not simply what I want or think is best. When we hear that 'God has a wonderful plan for our life', it's true ~ but the fulfillment of that plan comes in daily steps with Him, hand in Hand, listening, talking, walking, trusting His steps, and following them for His honor and glory. There are a lot of choices in life ~ let's stay close to Jesus so we'll know which ones are the 'right' ones to make each and every day.

SOARING WITH THE EAGLE IN 2012
Happy New Year, North Shore!
I saw a wild sight the other day: my family and I were following a realtor from house to house, and just off Pine Island Road, only a few miles from 41, I spotted an eagle! A big, beautiful bald eagle! I haven't seen one in a very long time, and I was enthralled with it ~ and almost wrecked ~ as we slowed to watch it. Then I noticed something wierd ~ it was flying with buzzards. At first I thought maybe it was attacking them or trying to scare them off, but it wasn't ~ it was flying around with them ~ dozens of them. As I continued to watch I realized that they weren't circling over a dead animal or fighting over territory . . . they seemed to be playing! What was this noble, majestic eagle doing playing with and enjoying the company of a bunch of buzzards? Doesn't he know who he is, I thought? As I contemplated the entire scene ~ trying not to run off the road ~ I began to think of myself as that eagle. We all think of ourselves in that way from time to time . . . the people around us don't realize how awesome we are . . . my fellow workers have no idea of my capabilities . . . the money I have makes me better than some people . . . my talent goes unnoticed by so many . . . and then the Lord spoke to my heart ~ not in that still, small voice that I like, but in that louder, "what's wrong with you", tone: "I'M THE EAGLE!", God said to my heart! "YOU'RE THE BUZZARD!" Wow - that knocked me down a peg or two! The Lord then began to flood my heart and mind with the understanding that we are all like those buzzards in comparison to God . . . and in comparison to each other! In God's sight, "there is none righteous, no not one." Our money, our talent, our house, our land, our things, or the lack of any of these . . . none of it makes us any better, or any worse, in His sight. The only difference in those buzzards, and in people, is that some can 'fly', and some can't. As I began to thank God for allowing me the privilege to 'fly' with Him, He then spoke in His still, small voice and encouraged me to do more of the most important thing in life I can do: show others how to 'fly' with Him! There will be people who don't want to 'fly' with Him, and some who believe that there is no actual flying, just graceful falling. But don't let that, or anything, keep you from looking for other 'buzzards' each and every day who know that they can 'fly', and really want to 'fly', and just need someone to show them how. Hey, my fellow North Shore buzzards, let's purpose in our hearts to show more buzzards how to fly this year than every before!

A SOCIAL NETWORK CHRISTMAS
Merry Christmas, North Shore!
